What We're Learning

One question, every month.

Not a blog. Something quieter. The Community Preparedness Study has not launched yet, so each month we share a single question we plan to explore with the community and with local experts. This page is the heart of the initiative, a record that Prepared Together is listening, learning, and evolving.
  1. Question we're exploring

    September 2026

Do families know how to create an emergency communication plan?

This is one of the questions the 2026 Community Preparedness Study will explore: whether households with supplies also have a shared plan for reaching each other if phones or power go out, and what a simple, memorable plan could look like.

  2. Question we're exploring

    October 2026

How much does neighborhood preparedness depend on relationships?

We plan to explore, through the 2026 study and conversations with local emergency professionals, how knowing your neighbors shapes how a household weathers a difficult day.

  3. Question we're exploring

    November 2026

Do renters face different preparedness challenges than homeowners?

The 2026 study will ask how space, permission, and permanence shape the way renters approach preparedness, and what kind of help would actually make a difference.

A new question is published at the end of each month. If something here resonates, or is a question you'd add, we'd love to hear from you.
